Postpartum

7

I get it. You've had your baby and now you're ready to reclaim the active life you had before getting pregnant. As an athletic-minded woman, it can be so tough to wait for your return to play.

The thing is, many women don't recognize pregnancy and birth for the somewhat traumatic experiences that they are for our bodies. Birth is a sacred event, but regardless if you have a vaginal birth or a c-section, your body is going to need time to heal after the event, and that healing isn't much different than what happens after your sprain an ankle or are taken out with plantar fasciitis. Your body needs time to heal, and that six-week mark is only the beginning of that process. What you need is proper guidance on how to safely return to your sport, to prevent pelvic floor dysfunction and other musculoskeletal issues, or to regain function of your core if you've discovered diastasis recti or pelvic organ prolapse after birth.

She Moves Athletic Wellness provides expert programming for female athletes experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction to start healing while still maintaining a needed level of conditioning for their sport. No longer do you have to choose your training or your health - you can have both.

She Moves Athlete Wellness has several online programs focusing on the different seasons of our training, as well as offers customized programs to target your specific healing and training needs. Our programs focus on using a whole-body approach, including movement, training, nutrition, and manual therapy, and delivering it in digestible bites the are just included in your regular training program. Beth Jones is an expert in women's health and sports medicine and many professionals refer clients to her because of her ability to help with female athletes recovery from these types of condition and make a full return to play.
