Pregnancy

It used to be that you stopped training when you got pregnant, but that's not the case anymore. While there are considerations for pregnant women who are expecting, gone are the days of keeping heart rates under 140 bpm, and the concern of lifting something overhead for women with normal pregnancies.

Instead, women are being encouraged to keep moving and training throughout their pregnancies! We now know that adjusting your training to work with your stage of pregnancies leads to quicker recovery and easier birth. In fact, training at some level up until birth means less deconditioning of your sport, and with a proper postpartum return to play program, you'll be back in competition shape in less time.

She Moves Athletic Wellness offers a variety of programs and services to help you maintain your pre-pregnancy level of fitness, reduce the aches and pains of your changing body, and help prepare you for an easier birth.

Beth Jones is a trained doula, in addition to her education in sports medicine and massage therapy. She uses all of her knowledge to create amazing pregnancy programs for her clients because she truly understands what is going on in the pregnant body and the athlete's mind. Check out some of the options below, or schedule a time to talk with Beth about your own goals today.
